“Not April Fools: New Paid Sick and Family Leave Requirements,” Industry Today
Amy Jordan Wilkes authored an article for Industry Today published April 3, 2020 detailing what employers should know about the paid leave requirements under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
The Act, which will remain in effect until December 31, 2020, includes paid sick leave entitlements and expanded family leave entitlements for certain employees affected by the virus who meet certain criteria. In addition to detailing which employees qualify for these leave requirements, Wilkes outlined the pay levels and caps, as well as notice requirements for employers.
