Burr & Forman LLP Welcomes Douglas Selph in Atlanta Office

Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that Douglas (Doug) D. Selph has joined the firm’s Atlanta, GA office as a Partner in the Real Estate practice group. 

“We are thrilled to have Doug join Burr & Forman,” said Erich Durlacher, Managing Partner of the firm’s Atlanta, GA office. “Doug is an accomplished attorney whose track record of success, particularly in real estate finance, will greatly contribute to the continued growth of our Atlanta office and the firm.”

Doug has extensive expertise in structuring, documenting, negotiating, and closing secured loan transactions for financial institutions, including complex syndicated credit facilities involving multi-state collateral. He is experienced in representing REITs and other commercial real estate borrowers in a wide range of secured credit facilities, including working capital lines, acquisition loans, and mezzanine loans, and has also been actively involved in debt restructurings, workouts, and merger transactions for REIT and developer clients.

In addition to his real estate finance practice, Doug handles real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and general real estate development matters.

Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Doug was a partner in the Atlanta office of Morris, Manning & Martin. He earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as notes editor and a member of the editorial board of the Georgia Law Review. He received his B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
