In an article published by the Orlando Business Journal on Aug. 4, 2016, Burr & Forman is recognized as the second healthiest employer in the large category (500-1,499 employees) with an outstanding 90 percent participation in its wellness program. The wellness program, which was created in 2009 in Orlando, includes an annual 12-week walking program - Moving Maters. Participants who achieve mileage goals are eligible for prizes including healthy cookbooks, iPads, Fitbits, Xbox consoles and American Express gift cards. In addition, every year the firm offers biometric screenings, during which employees and their spouses have their blood samples taken and their BMI measured by familiar people. The service is confidential and free. The firm highlights some of its other wellness initiatives, as well as the most enjoyable and least favorite programs offered over the years.
