Burr & Forman Welcomes Allyson Edwards as the Senior Director of Legal Talent and Development
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., January 28, 2021 – Burr & Forman LLP announces the addition of Allyson Edwards to serve as the firm’s new Senior Director of Legal Talent and Development. Edwards, who is both an attorney and certified public accountant, previously served as the Business Division Manager for Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, where she led a variety of business and legal functions in several roles over 17 years.

In her role, Edwards works with firm leadership to develop and oversee strategic programs for the professional development, career advancement, retention and recruitment of attorneys.

As Business Division Manager for Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, Edwards oversaw accounting, administration, facilities, information technology, new model, planning, and production control and safety operations. Her responsibilities within these areas included strategic planning for human resources and benefits, supervision of the safety department, facility maintenance and environmental compliance, governmental relations, community relations, and external and internal communications. She joined the company as legal counsel, and previously practiced as an in-house counsel within both law and accounting firms.
Edwards earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she graduated Order of Coif for finishing in the top 10 percent of her class.
