Burr & Forman's Kasee Heisterhagen Appointed To Special Committee On Cybersecurity By President Of The Maritime Law Association

Mobile, Ala., October 19, 2015 - Burr & Forman LLP announces that Mobile-based Associate, Kasee Sparks Heisterhagen, has been appointed by the President of The Maritime Law Association of the United States to the Special Committee on Cybersecurity.

Robert G. Clyne, President of The Maritime Law Association of the United States, chose 15 attorneys to serve on the newly formed Special Committee on Cybersecurity. The appointment is effective immediately and extends until the annual meeting of the association in May 2016. Cybersecurity is an issue that is in the forefront both inside and outside the maritime industry. The committee will address some of the most pressing concerns facing the maritime industry and other sectors of worldwide commerce.

Heisterhagen has experience in the areas of admiralty and maritime law, creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and insurance litigation. She works with clients on issues of maritime liens and vessel seizures and has in-depth experience in the fields of marine finance and marine related bankruptcies.

Heisterhagen received her undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University and her law degrees from The University of Alabama School of Law.
