Nashville, TN. - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that Nashville-based partner Matt Devries served as co-editor of the recently released book "Green Building and the Construction Lawyer." The book, published by the American Bar Association's Forum on Construction Law, focuses on sustainable development and the related issues it brings to the design and construction community.

Some of the topics addressed in the book include:

  • Insurance and bonding considerations
  • The rating systems used for assessing green/sustainable building development
  • Building, including energy and water performance and the science behind green/sustainable development and construction
  • Litigation and third-party claims issues from the perspective of the project owner, design professional, and prime contractor

The book was co-edited by Melissa A. Beutler, Edward B. Gentilcore, Christopher D. Montez, and Tracy L. Steedman.
