Nashville Business Journal Recognizes Bill Penny in the “Best of the Bar” for 2021

Nashville Partner Bill Penny has been recognized once again as Nashville Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” in Environmental Law. The award recognizes Nashville’s most talented and well respected legal professionals across a variety of practices. The “Best of the Bar” is chosen through a peer recognition process. After nominations close, the nominees participate in private voting and vote on one another. The winners are designated into 19 categories based on area of practice. This summer, the Nashville Business Journal will honor the legal professionals who made the list in a special print publication and on NashvilleBusinessJournal.com.

At Burr, Bill is the chair of the firm’s Environmental practice group. He has a wide range of experience in environmental law at the state and federal levels, including natural resource law, mining, remediation, negotiation with regulatory agencies in environmental matters, superfund litigation, RCRA matters, brownfield redevelopment, wetlands, water quality, radiological waste and compliance, and air pollution control. Bill also practices in the firm’s Real Estate practice group.
