Overview
Crawford represents clients in complex civil litigation, with a focus on transportation, insurance, and product liability matters. He has experience defending personal injury, automobile injury, premises liability, and statutory claims in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration.
Before joining Burr & Forman, Crawford defended claims on behalf of national insurance companies and Fortune 500 retail and hospitality clients, managing cases from filing through resolution. He has disposed of numerous matters through motions and negotiated settlements, served as lead attorney in depositions and mediations, and tried cases to verdict. His background includes handling responsive pleadings, written discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, pre-trial motions, and managing legal staff and junior attorneys. He also contributed to a successful appellate brief before the Alabama Supreme Court.
Crawford earned his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as Senior Editor of the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review and received a Best Paper award in Payment Systems. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Economics from The University of Alabama and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama.
