Overview

Ian Shippey is a member of the firm’s Transportation, Insurance and Product Section (TIPS). Ian represents clients in insurance-related litigation in state and federal court throughout Alabama and has experience providing general guidance and detailed coverage analyses to insurance clients. In addition, Ian has previous experience representing clients in a variety of trust and estate matters.

Ian graduated cum laude from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. While attending Cumberland, he earned the Dean’s Scholarship, the Scholar of Merit in Administrative Law, and he earned his place on the Dean’s List each semester. He also served as Articles Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and published his own article titled “Pay History and Wage Discrimination: Can State Pay History Laws Survive Present Judicial Construction of the Equal Pay Act?” Prior to attending law school, Ian attended University of Montevallo, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and graduated magna cum laude.
