Overview

Ryan Dardard is an Associate in the firm’s Lending Practice Group. Ryan represents lenders (commercial banks, life insurance companies, national CMBS lenders,) in commercial real estate financing for various types of properties.  Ryan also assists in seller-financed asset and entity sales. In addition, he assists clients with documentation and negotiations for Mergers & Acquisitions. Ryan’s corporate practice also includes the formation of legal entities and the preparation of agreements for partners in a variety of business ventures.

Ryan obtained his Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law where he earned the Robert E. Hodnette, Jr. Endowed Scholarship. In addition, Ryan served as President and Co-Founder of the Saint Thomas More Society, and as Associate Editor for the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Journal. Prior to law school, Ryan attended St. Joseph Seminary College where he graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theological Studies. He was also elected as SGA treasurer. After his time at St. Joseph, Ryan was a part of the Cirimex Spanish Immersion Program. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing poker, reading, and hunting.

Experience

  • Represented life insurance company in the origination of an $220 million loan secured by 20 properties in 17 states
  • Represented CMBS lender in the origination and securitization of a $25 million loan secured by a multi-family residential property in Florida
  • Represented CMBS lender in the origination and securitization of a $22 million loan secured by a portfolio of two hotels in New Jersey
