Overview
Katherine West is an Associate in the Birmingham office where she practices in the firm's Financial Services Litigation group.
Katherine earned her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she served as an Executive Authorities Editor and as a member of the Executive Board of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. She was a 2015 recipient of the Grace Wilson Sims Medal in Transnational Law.
Katherine also coached and competed with the law school’s Traveling Mock Trial Team. During her third year of law school, she served as an Associate Justice for the 1L Moot Court Program. Katherine also spent a summer interning for the Honorable Karon O. Bowdre and the Honorable R. David Proctor of the Northern District of Alabama.
Prior to law school, Katherine attended Rhodes College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in International Studies and Spanish. She was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa, Sigma Iota Rho, and Sigma Delta Pi honor societies. While at Rhodes, Katherine traveled across the country competing with the Mock Trial Team and served as a team captain her junior year. She also chaired the International Criminal Court for the Mid-South Model United Nations Conference.
Katherine spent a summer in Washington D.C., interning for Senator Richard Shelby.
