"I listen before anything else. I can do a better job of getting my clients where they need to go when I know where they are coming from."

As a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group, Mignon Lunsford handles a wide variety of issues for her clients such as business disputes, consumer protection, real property disputes, non-compete agreement enforcement, and securities fraud. With a love for persuasive writing and a willingness to learn, Mignon uses these skills to complement her collaborative, detail-oriented approach.

Mignon has a vast amount of experience defending clients such as community, regional, and national banks; title companies; automotive manufacturers; construction companies; business owners; and insurance companies involved in business disputes, real property disputes, non-compete agreement enforcement, and securities fraud. In particular, Mignon has experience representing financial institution clients in arbitration proceedings involving a wide range of claims, including investment suitability, churning breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and the enforcement of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.

When not working, Mignon stays busy with her two young boys and enjoys tennis, baking, and cheering for the Tar Heels. Mignon and her family live in Chapel Hill, where she is involved in a number of professional and civic organizations, allowing her to give back to the town she fell in love with in college. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Mignon volunteers with the Alabama Theatre and the Reed foundation.

Mignon earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a B.A in Dramatic Arts from the University of North Carolina and puts her acting training to use for her clients at the negotiating table and in the courtroom.
