Overview

Beth is a member of the firm’s Cybersecurity Group and Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Electronic Transactions Group. She advises clients on data privacy law compliance, investigating and addressing data breaches, cybersecurity, breach notifications, policies and procedures, electronic contracts and signatures, and litigation involving these and other areas. Beth holds a CIPP/US certification as a Certified Information Privacy Professional. She also is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group, and she has tried numerous cases in federal and state court jury and non-jury trials, as well as arbitrations, throughout her career. These trials range from corporate liability for monetary damages to corporate and municipal liability for bodily harm.

Beth represents companies of varying sizes in all aspects of cybersecurity, data breaches, and data privacy compliance. She also represents companies of varying sizes in commercial litigation, specifically focusing on business disputes, breach of contract, fraud, statutory violations, intentional interference, and other tort claims. She has litigated in areas of technology and software development, healthcare, environmental, intellectual property, employment, financial and investment institutions, municipalities, construction, and various other subject matters.

Beth has been fortunate to be trying cases throughout her career, starting as a young associate. She has extensive experience in federal and state court, jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations, and depositions. She is licensed in all federal and state courts in Alabama and Mississippi, as well as the Eleventh and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Beth has been involved in cases throughout the country, including trials in the Southwest and throughout the Southeast.

About Burr & Forman Sports Law

The Burr & Forman Sports Law team includes attorneys from a variety of legal and college athletic backgrounds, who provide counsel on marketing, licensing and other agreements.
