Overview

Judith McInnis practices primarily in the areas of commercial finance and real estate development. She represents commercial and real estate lenders as well as real estate developers and tenants. Judith has extensive experience and understanding of legal issues impacting shopping centers, hotels, mixed used developments, office buildings and resort developments. She draws on more than 25 years of experience to understand, prepare for and resolve the many interrelated issues that arise in commercial real estate projects, in order to provide practical, timely and efficient solutions for her clients.

Experience

  • Representing the developer of a large mixed use project in the acquisition of the land, governmental and permitting issues, land use issues and restrictions, sales, leasing and operations
  • Representing a national lender in numerous financings of coastal resort property for over 20 years
  • Representing major international companies with regard to the real estate aspects of mergers/sales/reorganizations, as well as ongoing operations in South Carolina
  • Representing landlords in negotiating leases with major national tenants, such as Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Starbucks, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A and others
