Zack Lawson concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, government investigations, appeals, victims’ rights, complex litigation and sports and entertainment law.
Overview
Zack Lawson represents individuals in professional and collegiate athletics. He negotiates name, image and likeness deals on behalf of college athletes and businesses, including sponsorship deals for players competing in PGA Tour events. Zack also advises athletes, universities, and businesses on the various state laws and compliance rules related to NIL. Zack is experienced representing coaches facing penalties related to NCAA compliance issues, even preceding the enactment of NIL. He is also an NFLPA certified contract advisor, allowing him to negotiate contracts on behalf of NFL players. He has also represented entertainers in various industries with transactional matters, including recording contracts and television deals.
Outside of sports and entertainment law, Zack concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, government investigations, appeals, victims’ rights, and complex litigation.
Zack’s practice involves representing clients at all phases of the criminal process—from pre-indictment investigations to appeals—in both state and federal court. He has successfully represented clients facing FDA and fraud charges, with many of these representations resulting in dismissals or substantially reduced charges.
