It seems there is no more vehemently decried investment product than the variable annuity, but they do provide benefits. Variable annuities are contractual animals, meaning that, although they share some consistent characteristics, they can, for a price, be modified to achieve an owner's individual objectives, but it is important to understand the elective options and be cautious.
