Birmingham Partner April Mason has been elected to the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation (ABF), an honor limited to 1% of licensed attorneys.

The ABF Fellows is an invitation-only global honor society that recognizes legal professionals who have made a significant impact on their respective practice. Potential members must be nominated by an existing fellow to be considered.

As a member of the firm’s Corporate practice group, April is a respected attorney with experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, financing, corporate governance, and antitrust, with a focus on businesses in the restaurant and fitness industries.

This year, April was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America®: "Lawyer of the Year" in the Birmingham area for Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law, reflecting her impact in the field. She’s also actively involved in the southern legal community, both as a member of the Capital Network Advisory Board and the Southeastern Business Law Institute Planning Committee.
