Burr & Forman Welcomes Tim Gillis to Jacksonville Office

Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that H. Timothy Gillis has joined its Jacksonville, FL office as a Partner in the Corporate Practice Group.

Tim is a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent-rated attorney and focuses his practice on transactional business law and commercial litigation. He advises private equity funds and their portfolio companies, major retailers, franchisors and franchisees, commercial real estate developers, financial institutions, and other clients through all stages of the business lifecycle—from formation and funding to expansion and exit.

Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Tim served as the managing partner of the Jacksonville, FL office of Shutts & Bowen. He also previously served as an adjunct professor at Florida Coastal School of Law, teaching courses in securities regulation, mergers & acquisitions and transactional drafting. Tim is former chair of the Jacksonville Bar Association's Transactional Law Section, among other professional affiliations. 

Tim earned his LL.M (taxation) from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from Florida State University, and his undergraduate degree from Jacksonville University.
