Burr & Forman's Derek Meek to Chair the Chapter Presidents' Council of the Global Turnaround Management Association

Birmingham, Ala., Nov. 17, 2016 - Burr & Forman LLP announces that Birmingham-based partner Derek F. Meek was named as chair of the Chapter Presidents' Council of the Global Turnaround Management Association (TMA) for 2017. In this role, Meek will provide oversight and support to all of the domestic and international TMA chapter presidents. Meek currently serves as vice-chair of the Chapter Presidents' Council.

At Burr & Forman, Meek focuses his practice in bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He counsels secured creditors, including banks, funds, factoring companies and individuals, and he regularly represents debtors, creditors, committees, asset purchasers and other clients in matters related to bankruptcy, both in and out of court.
