Burr & Forman's Derek Meek To Chair The Chapter Presidents' Council Of The Global Turnaround Management Association

Birmingham, Ala., Nov. 20, 2015 - Burr & Forman LLP announces that Birmingham-based partner Derek F. Meek was named as vice-chair of the Chapter Presidents' Council of the Global Turnaround Management Association (TMA) putting him in line to serve as president of the organization in 2017. In these roles, Meek will provide oversight and support to all of the domestic and international TMA chapter presidents. Meek currently serves as president for the Alabama chapter of the TMA.

At Burr & Forman, Meek focuses his practice in bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He counsels secured creditors, including banks, funds, factoring companies and individuals, and he regularly represents debtors, creditors, committees, asset purchasers and other clients in matters related to bankruptcy, both in and out of court.
