Burr & Forman's Greg Canfield Appointed to PARCA Board of Directors
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Managing Director of Economic Development Greg Canfield has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA).
PARCA is Alabama’s trusted source for non-partisan, non-ideological research, providing policy research, data analysis, and program evaluation to inform public decision-making. Founded in 1988 by former Governor Albert Brewer, PARCA equips policymakers, educators, and nonprofit leaders with reliable information to support effective, efficient, and equitable public policy across the state.
In his role at Burr, Greg works with the firm’s multi-state Economic Development team on matters supporting site selection, incentive negotiation and implementation, tax structure, construction, real estate, environmental permitting, and government relations. Prior to joining the firm, Greg served for more than 12 years as Alabama’s Secretary of Commerce under two governors, securing more than $76 billion in new investment and creating 188,000 jobs. He previously served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives and has received numerous state, national, and international recognitions for his contributions to economic development.
