Burr & Forman's Kermit Kendrick and April Mason Named to Birmingham Business Journal's “Best of the Bar”

Birmingham partners Kermit Kendrick and April Mason have both been recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as “Best of the Bar.” This year’s recognized attorneys were selected based on their accomplishments within their practice area and firm, within Birmingham and its legal community, and businesses around the nation.

Kermit Kendrick is a partner in the firm's Litigation Section where he defends all types of litigation, including insurance defense, personal injury, wrongful death, toxic exposure, and property damage matters. Kermit’s background molded a competitive spirit and commitment to excellence that guides his handling and resolution of complex litigation matters across the Southeast.  Additionally, Kermit serves as the City Attorney for the City of Meridian, Mississippi. In his capacity as City Attorney, Kermit manages the City’s outside counsel at multiple law firms and serves as chief legal adviser to the executive branch of the local government.

April Mason is a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Tax practice group. April represents clients in connection with a broad range of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, corporate governance, franchising, and antitrust. Additionally, April counsels business clients through all stages of their life cycle, including advising start-ups and counseling clients on exit strategies through negotiated acquisitions.  She has been involved in a variety of mergers and acquisitions with domestic and foreign, public and privately held clients in the manufacturing, technology, insurance, healthcare, retail and restaurant/hospitality industries.
