Burr & Forman's Vivien Monaco Receives Paul S. Buchman Award
Orlando, FL., May 16th, 2018 - Burr & Forman LLP announces that Orlando Counsel Vivien Monaco has received the prestigious Paul S. Buchman Award for Outstanding Legal Public Service from the City, County and Local Government Section of The Florida Bar. The award was presented to Monaco at the Section's Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 11th by Robert L. Teitler, the 2017-2018 chair of the Section
The award is named in memory of Paul S. Buchman who served as the City Attorney for Plant City, Florida for 42 years, until his death in 1991. Mr. Buchman was one of the founding members of the City, County and Local Government Law Section (then called the Local Government Section) of The Florida Bar, and served as the first Chair in 1973-1974. He was recognized throughout the state for his contributions to municipal law.
Monaco served as chair of the County and Local Government Section from 2010-2011 and is the immediate past chair of the Environmental & Land Use Law Section of The Florida Bar.
