Burr Partner Accepted to NAWL's Leadership Program

Burr proudly announces that Birmingham partners Beth Shirley has been accepted into the NAWL's 2023 Leadership Program. The 7-week intensive cohort includes presentations, small group discussions, and community-building exercises intended to help participants strengthen their leadership skills and build their professional networks.

Beth serves as co-chair of the firm's Cybersecurity and Data Privacy industry team. Her practice is devoted to helping clients comply with the evolving privacy regulations in the U.S. and abroad, preparing privacy notices and policies, and operating privacy programs. Her practice also includes the full scope of handling data incidents and breaches, including advising on negotiating ransom demands from threat actors, retaining vendors to investigate and remediate systems, reporting activity to appropriate authorities, and sending any required notifications to consumers.
