Burr Partners with Black Law Students Association to Host Academic Retreats

Burr & Forman recently partnered with the Southeast Region of the National Black Law Students Association (SRBLSA) to host several of the organization's annual "Regional Academic Retreats." The firm hosted the organization in its Atlanta office on Saturday, October 6th. All SRBLSA members from the Atlanta area were invited to attend the retreat that included programming on topics such as career options in the legal industry, problems facing minorities in the workplace and interview best practices.

In addition to several local speakers in the legal field, Burr partner Kwende Jones and associate Tala Amirfazli also served on panels at the retreat and led a discussion to help law students prepare for the interview process as well as provide tips for writing resumes and cover letters.

In addition to the Atlanta retreat, Burr also hosted SRBLSA in its Orlando office on Saturday, October 13th for the organization's Orlando Academic Retreat. The Orlando retreat also covered topics such as what law students can do with their law degree, how to maximize your time in law school and interviews and resume tips.
