Burr's Miya Moore Selected to the City of Birmingham's Core Leadership Team for the Women's Initiative
Miya Moore has been named 1 of 33 women who were selected to serve on the inaugural core leadership team for the City of Birmingham’s Women’s Initiative. With the direction of Mayor Randall L. Woodfin, the Office of Peace and Policy established the Women’s Initiative to improve the lives of women and children across Birmingham. The Core Leadership Team will work to address community issues such as poverty, healthcare, domestic violence and police relations and make recommendations to Mayor Woodfin.
Mayor Woodfin was quoted saying, “The City of Birmingham is committed to creating opportunities to elevate the quality of life and justice for all women and girls. I am excited and confident that through the work of the Women’s Initiative Core Leadership Team, we will be able to work together as a community to make a difference in the lives of all women and girls.”
Miya is an attorney in the Birmingham office where she practices in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation and Immigration Practice Groups. Concurrently, Miya earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Samford University.
