Ed Hardin Elected as President of the Southeastern Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates

Birmingham, AL. - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that Birmingham Counsel Ed Hardin was installed as the President of the Southeastern Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (SEABOTA) on April 18, 2015, at Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. SEABOTA is comprised of the 840 attorneys belonging to the eleven State Chapters of ABOTA in the Southeast.

Hardin was inducted into the Alabama Chapter of ABOTA in 1993 and has held several leadership positions including President of the Alabama Chapter and National Board Member. In addition, he is recognized by the organization as both a Diplomat and Life Fellow. The title of Diplomat is bestowed on less than 10 percent of the membership and reserved for only the most experienced trial attorneys.

Ed Bowron, also a Partner with Burr & Forman, was installed as Secretary of SEABOTA. Other Burr & Forman attorneys are also members of the Alabama Chapter: W. Michael Atchison, Counsel; S. Greg Burge, Partner; and Todd Vargo, Partner.

About Ed Hardin

Hardin practices as Counsel in the firm's litigation section, focusing in the areas of complex commercial and torts litigation, health care litigation, insurance law and government investigations and enforcement. He brings more than four decades of litigation management and trial experience to Burr & Forman.

Hardin serves on The Woodrow Wilson Council and the Board of Trustees for Birmingham Southern College. Additionally, Hardin is a founding member of the Board of Directors for both the American Sports Medicine Institute and Children of Slain Police Officers. Hardin is recognized as a Diplomat and Life Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has served as a member of its National Board.

Hardin received his undergraduate degree from Birmingham Southern College and his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
