John Wall Receives SCEDA Ally Award
Burr & Forman is pleased to share that Columbia Partner John Wall has been honored with the Ally Award by The South Carolina Economic Developers' Association (SCEDA). The award recognizes an individual in the private sector who meaningfully supports and advances economic development across the state.
The Ally Award is a relationship-driven and impact-focused recognition that highlights those who make economic development possible. To receive the award, candidates are nominated by SCEDA members and must be deeply involved with state and local development. In the nomination materials, John was described as "a consummate professional who has established himself as a leading authority on South Carolina economic development projects."
John serves as a leader of the firm’s Economic Development team, which has supported more than $45 billion in capital investment and the creation of over 38,000 jobs. He helps companies secure economic development incentives that reduce costs and support growth, including tax credits, grants, and workforce programs, and works with clients and government entities to structure and implement incentive packages for new and expanding projects.
The South Carolina Economic Developers' Association is a statewide professional organization that supports and connects people involved in economic development across the state. SCEDA brings together economic developers, government officials, and private-sector partners to benefit the citizens of South Carolina.
