McNair's Liz Crum Named to SC DHEC's CON Review Panel

McNair Law Firm is pleased to announce that attorney Liz Crum has been selected to serve on the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control's Certificate of Need (CON) Review Panel. The Panel focuses on improving the agency's efficiency by working with users and providers to develop recommendations. Members were selected through a nominations process made by firms and organizations such as the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) who do CON work.

Liz brings experience and knowledge to the panel through her work with the SC DHEC, the State Certificate of Need and Health Facilities Licensure Act (CON Act), the promulgated regulations and the various iterations of the State Health Plan. She is familiar with several aspects of the CON Program and as part of the CON process, Liz has represented numerous types of health care providers including hospitals, health care systems, physicians, physician groups, joint ventures, nursing homes and other groups applying for a variety of CON's.

Liz has been on committees for the SCHA regarding the CON Act or regulation issues; has been a representative for health care providers at meetings at the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce regarding responses to CON legislation; and has advised clients regarding proposed CON revisions, including drafting suggested amendments to legislation and regulation. Liz has been actively involved in advising clients regarding revisions to a number of State Health Plans for numerous different health facilities or services addressed by the Plans. Liz has an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell® Peer View Ratings™, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America ® and Super Lawyers® with both listings being for the healthcare law practice.
