Firm News

South Carolina Lawyers Weekly has honored McNair shareholder Richard Morgan with a 2016 Leadership in Law award.

The award celebrates a select few within the legal community who have "achieved success in their law practice, made contributions to society, and had an impact on the legal industry." Rick was recognized in the magazine's January 18 edition and honored at an awards dinner on March 10 at The Mills House Wyndham Grand Hotel in Charleston.

"Rick has dedicated himself to the people and businesses of South Carolina for more than 30 years," said friend and colleague Michael Beal. "The Leadership in Law award is a testament to his service, and we are so pleased to see his efforts celebrated."

Rick is a certified South Carolina employment and labor law specialist, and leads McNair's employment and labor practice group. He is a veteran litigator who has tried to verdict numerous employment, defamation, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases. Rick holds leadership roles in both professional and community organizations. He currently serves as Chair of the South Carolina Business Hall of Fame, and on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Central South Carolina, the Committee of 100, and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
