Overview
Garrett Lucey is an associate in the firm's Corporate & Tax practice group, where he focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, economic development, and real estate transactions and financing.
Garrett advises clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and private equity acquisitions. He guides buyers and sellers through all phases of the deal process and helps structure and execute transactions across a variety of industries.
Garrett also has significant experience with economic development projects, counseling clients on the incentives, financing, and transactional matters that drive growth initiatives. His work in this area is complemented by experience in real estate transactions and financing, which frequently intersect with economic development efforts.
In addition, Garrett draws on a well-rounded background that includes health care compliance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement advising, complex commercial litigation involving financial disputes, and counseling clients on cybersecurity issues.
Garrett obtained his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and his B.S. at Sewanee: The University of the South. While at the University of Alabama, he was the Publications & Outreach Editor of the Law & Psychology Review and a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Business Law Society.
