Overview
Hannah Leifel is an associate in the firm’s Construction & Project Development practice group.
Hannah brings a litigation background to her construction and project development practice, representing clients in matters involving complex disputes and risk-related issues. Prior to joining the firm, she focused her practice on insurance coverage and commercial litigation, representing clients in all stages of civil litigation and advising on coverage issues, declaratory judgment actions, and related appellate matters.
Hannah earned her J.D. from Belmont University College of Law, where she served as an executive member of the Belmont Law Entertainment Journal. She received her B.S. in Music Business from Carroll University, where she studied abroad in the Czech Republic and performed at Carnegie Hall with the university’s choir. Prior to her legal career, she worked as an assistant stage manager at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In her free time, Hannah enjoys attending concerts, golfing, and traveling with her husband, two children,and dog.
Experience
- Successfully defended an insurance company against a bad faith claim in a jury trial.
- Argued in front of the Tennessee Court of Appeals on a novel issue regarding the interpretation and application of an inland marine policy regarding errors in the manufacturing of cabinets.
