Josh Slovin, CIPP/E

Josh Slovin is an associate in the Corporate & Tax practice group in the firm's Atlanta office. His practice focuses on a broad range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities and capital raising, corporate governance, contract drafting and negotiation, and general corporate matters.

Josh advises companies throughout the business lifecycle on corporate and technology transactions, with a particular focus on commercial contracting for SaaS, software licensing, and technology-enabled services, including matters involving data privacy, HIPAA compliance, and AI-enabled offerings. He has experience representing startups and emerging growth companies from initial formation through capital raises and M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating stock purchase agreements, convertible promissory notes, and related deal documents.

As a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), Josh advises organizations on U.S. and international privacy laws and regulations, including the GDPR, and regularly drafts and negotiates data processing agreements, business associate agreements, and related privacy and data protection terms in connection with commercial and technology transactions, M&A, and other matters.

Josh regularly represents social media influencers, content creators, entertainers, and public personalities in connection with brand partnerships, sponsorships, licensing agreements, and other commercial opportunities. He also has experience negotiating production and distribution agreements with streaming platforms for television series and advises clients on structuring agreements that maximize the long-term value of their brands.

Josh received his J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where he served as a staff member of the Mercer Law Review and received the Cali Award for Business Drafting.
