Overview
Kiki is an Associate in the firm’s General Commercial Litigation practice group. She defends insurers, financial institutions, and corporate clients in range of disputes in both state and federal court. She has experience in matters involving breach of contract, coverage disputes, bad-faith allegations, employment law, and consumer finance claims. She also has experience with alternative dispute resolution, including arbitrations in the financial services sector. In practice, she routinely coordinates discovery, drafts successful dispositive motions, takes and defends depositions, and prepares cases for trial and arbitration. She is licensed in both Kentucky and Tennessee state and federal courts.
Prior to working at Burr, Kiki worked for a firm in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she was raised. She has a double major in English and Spanish from the University of Georgia. She went on to teach English in Madrid, Spain, which she still enjoys traveling to. She then graduated cum laude from The University of Tennessee College of Law. During her time at the University of Tennessee, she was awarded a legal writing scholarship; earned multiple high achievement awards; and was the Publications Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy.
