Lindsay is a member of Burr & Forman’s Real Estate Practice Group where she focuses on real estate matters for developers and community associations and handles both residential and commercial real estate closings in the firm’s Hilton Head and Bluffton Offices.

Overview

Lindsay assists planned community associations with drafting, interpreting and enforcing restrictive covenants, bylaws, and other governing documents.  She also has experience negotiating and drafting commercial lease agreements, easement agreements and vendor agreements on behalf of commercial landlords and associations. In addition, Lindsay assists with local property tax applications and appeals as well as providing guidance to clients in drafting organizational documents and other transactional matters. Her practice also includes a considerable volume of residential real estate closings throughout the Lowcountry, including working with the Hilton Head Habitat for Humanity on closings and development matters. Lindsay is passionate about helping lower income individuals attain the dream of homeownership.

Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Lindsay worked in Washington, D.C. as an Associate General Counsel for a large Federal Government agency advising clients on acquisition strategy, requests for proposals, contract awards and modifications. She also worked for many years as Associate General Counsel in the Office of Administration in the Executive Office of the President.

Born in London, England to American parents, Lindsay has spent much of her life overseas in locations such as Singapore, Germany, and London.  She and her husband Tim have three children and now call Hilton Head home.
