Burr Adds Taylor Johnson to Transportation, Insurance, and Product Section
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Taylor Johnson has joined the firm's Birmingham office as an associate in the Transportation, Insurance, and Product Section practice group. Drawing on his knowledge of industry-specific labor laws and research experience, he represents clients in a variety of legal disputes, providing informed guidance throughout every stage.
Taylor represents clients in the railroad and construction industries, as well as contractors and business owners, in matters involving personal injury and wrongful death, including claims arising under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act and the Federal Railroad Safety Act. His experience also includes litigation involving commercial real estate, the automobile industry, and healthcare, with matters related to insurance defense, premises liability, and medical malpractice. Taylor has authored successful briefs in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Taylor has been recognized by Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in America® in Commercial Litigation, Litigation – Labor and Employment, and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants. He was also named a Mid-South Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Transportation & Maritime in 2025.
Taylor earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Samford University Cumberland School of Law, where he served as an editor for the Cumberland Law Review and participated in Moot Court competitions, earning recognition including Best Oralist. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Auburn University.
Outside of his legal practice, Taylor supports aspiring attorneys through his work as an ACT tutor and essay-writing competition sponsor.
