Burr & Forman Adds Grant Reese to Lending Practice Group
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Grant Reese has joined the firm as an associate in its Lending practice group. Grant represents financial institutions and other lenders in a wide range of commercial finance matters, including loan origination, restructurings, and distressed asset management.
In addition to his lending practice, Grant maintains a broader corporate practice, serving as outside general counsel to closely held businesses and advising clients on business formations, capital structure, and real estate and corporate transactions. He also brings litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving contracts, shareholder and partnership matters, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and real estate-related issues, and has authored successful briefs in state and federal courts, including the Alabama Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Grant has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® for Closely Held Companies and Family Business Law, Commercial Litigation, and Insurance Law, and in Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in Closely Held Business and Business Litigation. Outside the office, he is a member of the Phoenix Club of Birmingham and the Rotaract Club of Birmingham and enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and traveling.
