Burr & Forman Adds Partner Michelle West in Washington, D.C.
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce attorney Michelle West has joined its Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the Construction & Project Development practice group.

Michelle brings more than two decades of trial experience to her construction and commercial litigation practice, representing clients in high-stakes disputes throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. From multimillion-dollar infrastructure claims to complex private project matters, she is known for her courtroom acumen and clear, strategic advocacy. Michelle also counsels government contractors on federal compliance issues, combining litigation insights with a practical approach to risk management and resolution.
Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Michelle held roles in both private practice and in-house legal departments, gaining a well-rounded perspective that informs her work today. A former language and writing instructor, she is valued for her ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear, actionable way. Michelle remains active in the legal community as a speaker, mentor, and trial skills coach, and is also passionate about historic home preservation outside of her legal career.
