Burr & Forman is pleased announce that Sam Grimes has joined the firm's Birmingham, AL office as a partner in the Corporate & Tax practice group. 

Sam counsels clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, corporate governance, business formation and reorganization, and commercial contracting.

"Sam's return to Burr reflects both the strength of the relationships he built here and the depth of experience he gained serving in an in-house leadership role," said Ed Christian, Burr’s Managing Partner and CEO. "His perspective as a former chief legal officer allows him to approach client matters with a practical, business-minded understanding of the challenges companies face every day."

Prior to rejoining Burr, Sam served as Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of a national RV manufacturer, where he advised the company through a period of significant growth and expansion. Earlier in his career, he completed a secondment with the legal department of Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc., strengthening his experience working alongside in-house business and legal teams.
