Burr Adds Mary Stuart King to the Labor & Employment Practice Group
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce the addition of Charleston attorney Mary Stuart King, who joins the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group as an associate.
Mary Stuart assists employers in navigating complex workplace laws, including labor relations, employment discrimination, and wage and hour compliance. With experience in labor arbitrations and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, she counsels employers on unfair labor practices, union organizing efforts, corporate campaigns, and work stoppages.
She defends employers in state and federal courts, as well as before arbitrators and administrative agencies, in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims under the ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, Title VII, and other state and federal laws. Her practice also includes handling employer investigations before the EEOC, Department of Labor, OSHA, and other state and federal agencies.
Mary Stuart has been recognized in Charleston Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite of the Lowcountry” (2022–present) and selected for Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” for Litigation – Labor and Employment (2026). She earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina, magna cum laude.
