In an article published on Feb. 10, 2017 in the Birmingham Business Journal, Richard Brockman provides insight to the issues surrounding Medicaid in Alabama and what the future holds for Birmingham's health care community. Brockman said that inadequate funding for Medicaid would have a poor effect on the local health care scene, potentially affecting delivery of care and employment. "Any kind of cut to Medicaid has a direct impact on our hospital system, on our physicians, on our nursing homes and on our other providers that employ an awful lot of people," Brockman explains.
