Vic Hayslip Named Volunteer of the Year by Cumberland School of Law

Samford University's Cumberland School of Law has recognized alumnus Vic Hayslip as its 2025 Volunteer of the Year, honoring his decades of leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to the law school and its students.

The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented annually to an alumnus/a who has demonstrated exceptional loyalty and commitment to Cumberland through volunteer service. A 1985 graduate, Hayslip has played a central role in strengthening the Cumberland community, from co-founding the James Edwin Horton Inn of Court and the Federalist Society chapter at the law school to leading fundraising efforts that established the Class of 1985 Scholarship. His enduring involvement reflects a deep dedication to supporting future generations of Cumberland lawyers.

Vic is the leader of the firm's General Commercial Litigation practice group, where his work focuses on complex business and financial litigation, securities disputes, and arbitration. With extensive experience in both federal and state courts, he represents financial services clients, institutions, directors, and officers in class actions, breach of fiduciary duty claims, shareholder disputes, and other high stakes matters.
