Overview
Catherine Crosby is a Partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. She has extensive litigation and operational experience with the U.S. Department of Justice.
As First Assistant United States Attorney and Acting Criminal Chief, Catherine oversaw the daily operations of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Alabama. She led multiple divisions and staff, directing office strategy to advance the district’s criminal and civil case priorities. During her time as Acting United States Attorney, she was named one of only 22 attorneys to the Attorney General’s Advisory Council. As Executive Assistant United States Attorney, Catherine managed law enforcement relations and implemented district-wide eLitigation programs to strengthen case management workflows.
Earlier, Catherine served as Senior Litigation Counsel and was the district Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Prosecutor in the Criminal Division, leading high-profile prosecutions and eLitigation initiatives.
Prior to government service, Catherine litigated complex business and regulatory matters and advised clients on cybersecurity and compliance.
Catherine earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served on the Managing Board and as Alabama editor and associate editor of the Alabama Law Review. She earned her B.A. from Auburn University.
