Overview
As a member of the firm's General Commercial Litigation Practice Group, Greg litigates complex business disputes for companies of all sizes. His clients span a broad range of industries, including financial institutions, large residential contractors, universities, Fortune 500 companies, manufacturers, and insurers. Although Greg's practice is concentrated in Georgia and Alabama, he has litigated matters in more than twenty states across the country.
Greg brings a distinctive combination of experience to his litigation practice. After more than twenty years as a partner in the firm's litigation group, Greg served for several years as general counsel for two large organizations before returning to Burr in 2026. In his role as general counsel, he directly managed numerous employment law disputes, transactional matters, and corporate governance and compliance issues. This in-house perspective gives Greg a practical understanding of how litigation fits within a client's broader organizational needs and business strategy — an advantage that informs every aspect of his approach to representation.
Throughout his career at Burr, Greg has obtained favorable results for his clients at every stage of the litigation process, from early dispositive motions and summary judgment through trial and appeal. He places a strong emphasis on early case assessment, thorough preparation during the discovery phase, and strategic planning aimed at achieving successful outcomes and efficient resolution. In addition to his extensive trial practice, Greg has substantial appellate experience, including oral arguments before the highest appellate courts in several states.
Greg has also served as an adjunct professor, teaching civil practice at Emory University School of Law and business law at Jacksonville State University.
