Greg litigates all types of business disputes with an emphasis on efficiency, communication and results.

Greg is a member of the firm’s General Commercial Litigation practice group with a concentration on business litigation, class action defense and employment matters. Greg has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation and has defended clients in numerous regulatory investigations and enforcement matters.

While Greg’s practice is centered in Georgia and Alabama, he has represented clients in matters across the United States. Greg’s clients include national banking institutions, insurers, and one of Georgia’s largest residential contracting companies. Prior to rejoining Burr, Greg served as General Counsel at InVeris, overseeing all of the company's legal functions as well as advising company leadership.

Experience

  • Defended telecommunications company in regulatory inquiries by the FCC, FTC, and numerous state Attorney Generals.
  • Defended telecommunications company in lawsuits filed by Wisconsin Department of Justice and Vermont Attorney General's office alleging failure to comply with state consumer protection laws.
  • Engaged by the Georgia Attorney General's office to act as a special Assistant Attorney General to pursue state consumer protection claims against an Atlanta based watch broker. Successfully obtained injunctive and other relief resulting in the
    closing of the business and several hundred thousand dollars of restitutionary relief for customers.
  • Represented a billing clearinghouse in a consumer class action. Obtained summary judgment and court denied certification. Order affirmed by the Seventh Circuit.
  • Represented the seller in a dispute claiming fraud and breach of contract arising out of a stock purchase agreement. Obtained a seven figure recovery for seller after arbitration.
  • Represented a minority shareholder in a dispute with LLC over loan repayment and share valuation. Obtained a six figure recovery for the minority shareholder.
  • Represented a sub-prime automobile insurer in complex litigation against over eighty insured financial institutions arising out of alleged fraud by a central agent. Successfully settled all issues.
