Overview
Mike Brewer is a member of the firm’s Construction practice group, where he represents clients in construction and government contracts cases in state and federal court and before the Civilian and Armed Services Boards of Contract Appeals. He advises clients on a range of commercial disputes and provides insight tailored towards risk identification and mitigation. Mike’s litigation experience spans commercial and construction litigation, questions concerning the jurisdiction of federal courts, and the emerging cannabis industry in DC and Maryland.
Outside the courtroom, Mike assists clients with settlement negotiation and represents them in alternative dispute resolution forums. He presents clients with a practical and business-focused path through disputes. For federal contractors, Mike offers regulatory compliance advice to help navigate the FAR and other agency-specific regulations.
Mike earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he received the Henry R. Berger Award, presented to a graduating student who demonstrates excellence in tort law. He was also honored with the Dean’s Recognition for Professional Development.
