Michael J. Brewer

Mike Brewer is a member of the firm’s Construction practice group, where he represents contractors in construction and government contracts cases in state court, federal court, the Government Accountability Office, and the Boards of Contract Appeals. Mike’s litigation practice focuses on bid protests and construction claims under federal construction projects. Mike has extensive experience litigating design defect and construction delay claims. He also has experience litigating complex commercial cases, disputes over federal jurisdiction, and appeals to the Federal Circuit.

Outside the courtroom, Mike assists clients with settlement negotiations and represents them through alternative dispute resolution. He focuses on achieving practical, business-oriented outcomes.  For federal contractors, Mike offers regulatory advice to help navigate the FAR and other agency-specific regulations.  His federal regulatory experience includes CMMC compliance, suspension and debarment, internal investigations, employment and organizational conflicts of interest, subcontracting plans, and SBA set-aside contracting programs. 

Mike earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he received the Henry R. Berger Award, presented to a graduating student who demonstrates excellence in tort law. He was also honored with the Dean’s Recognition for Professional Development.
