Overview
Mike Brewer is a member of the firm’s Construction practice group, where he represents clients in construction and government contracts cases in state court, federal court, the Government Accountability Office, and the Boards of Contract Appeals. He advises clients on a range of commercial disputes and identifies risk exposure to prevent disputes before they arise. Mike’s litigation experience includes complex commercial and construction cases, disputes concerning federal jurisdiction, and prosecution of bid protests and contract claims against the federal government.
Outside the courtroom, Mike assists clients with settlement negotiations and represents them through alternative dispute resolution. He focuses on achieving practical, business-oriented outcomes. For federal contractors, Mike offers regulatory advice to help navigate the FAR and other agency-specific regulations. His federal regulatory experience includes CMMC compliance, suspension and debarment, internal investigations, employment and organizational conflicts of interest, and SBA set-aside contracting programs.
Mike earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he received the Henry R. Berger Award, presented to a graduating student who demonstrates excellence in tort law. He was also honored with the Dean’s Recognition for Professional Development.
