Burr & Forman Expands Washington, D.C. Footprint Following First Year of Growth
Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce it has established a permanent office in Washington, D.C. The move builds on the momentum of the firm’s debut in the market last year and underscores its continued investment in serving clients in government contracts and construction.
The office launched in June 2025 with Government Contracts and Construction partners Dirk Haire, Jessica Haire, and Sean Milani-nia, and has since grown to eight attorneys. Recent additions include partners Michelle West and Kelsey Hayes, who joined in July and October, respectively. The team has relocated to permanent space on the ninth floor at 99 M Street SE in the Navy Yard neighborhood, after operating from a temporary office within the building.
“Establishing a permanent presence in Washington, D.C. reflects the strength and trajectory of our government contracts and construction practices,” said Ed Christian, Burr’s Managing Partner. “Over the past year, we’ve built a strong team aligned with client needs in this space, and this move underscores our long-term commitment to the market.”
Burr & Forman’s government contracts and construction teams include attorneys with active U.S. Secret security clearances who handle high-stakes litigation involving major infrastructure projects across the U.S. and internationally, including in the Indo-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The firm has also handled hundreds of complex, sensitive matters involving federal agencies.
“Our Washington, D.C. office enhances the firm’s ability to serve clients on matters shaped by federal agencies and decision-makers,” said Mr. Haire, office managing partner.
