Overview
Rachel is a commercial litigator who helps businesses navigate complex disputes, with recent experience spanning creditors’ rights, healthcare litigation, and corporate litigation.
Rachel represents companies, financial institutions, and healthcare organizations in state and federal courts. She is comfortable stepping into matters at any stage, from evaluating risk and developing an early case strategy to handling discovery, preparing witnesses, briefing dispositive issues, and advocating for clients in court.
Rachel earned her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law after getting both her M.A. in Cultural Studies and B.A. in the Humanities from Florida State University.
When she’s away from the office, Rachel enjoys planning trips to see great medieval cities, visiting the beach to look for shark's teeth, and spending time with her family.
Experience
- Represented a water infrastructure company in a trade secret and restrictive covenant lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. The case involved a non-compete agreement with a former employee and the employee’s hiring company.
- Represented a receiver in a corporate dissolution proceeding related to the operation of two affordable housing property developments in Florida.
- Represented a distributor of implantable medical devices in product liability cases in state and federal courts across the United States.
- Represented an employer in multiple ADA discrimination and non-compete cases in state and federal courts across the United States.
- Representing a supermarket company with pharmacies in opioid litigation throughout the Southeast.
- Represented a municipality in a challenge to the city's charter brought by the county's school board relating to the school board's efforts to put a half-cent sales tax to voters of the county without the City Council's approval, which included a challenge to its consolidated government.
